NIFL Health Literacy Discussion Announced: National Action Plan to Improve Health Literacy

The National Institute for Literacy (NIFL)'s Health Literacy Discussion List will host a Guest Discussion on the topic of the The National Action Plan to Improve Health Literacy.
The discussion will take place Sept. 13-17, 2010, with Guest Cynthia Baur, Senior Advisor for Health Literacy, Office of the Associate Director for Communication, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Bauer is a co-chair of the Healthy People 2020 Health Communication and Health Information Technology Workgroup, and a co-chair of the HHS Action Plan to Improve Health Literacy.
Publicly funded curriculum materials are available for purchase, including English for All DVDs and materials developed for EL Civics.
